The General Directorate of Coasts, under the Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of the Canary Islands, has started this Friday, November 10, a series of outreach days to councils and municipalities in Lanzarote.
A meeting with the objective of "defining positions" to defend the interests of the archipelago before the State and the application of article 157 of the Statute of Autonomy, which gives the Canary Islands full powers in this matter.
The general director of Coasts, Antonio Acosta, pointed out that "these meetings will serve to refine the administrative procedures with the rest of the island administrations, accelerate all the processes of authorizations and concessions and, at the same time, listen to each of the administrations to guarantee the efficiency of this General Directorate, while we continue working on our structure and operation and bring the management of the coastline closer to the citizens."
