The Yaiza City Council invests "220,000 euros" from its municipal accounts in the construction of a multi-sports court in the town of Femés, in the Femés Atrás area. The mayor, Óscar Noda, and the Councilor for Public Works and Sports, Ángel Lago, are verifying the execution plan of the project on site together with the contractor and the technical director of the work designated by the Administration.

Óscar Noda reports that “the stands are practically finished, so we have asked to undertake with speed all the actions demanded by the project so that neighbors can enjoy this new facility that confirms our commitment to healthy leisure”.

As in the court that Yaiza is also building in the urban area of Faro Pechiguera in Playa Blanca, the Femés court will be integrated into the inclusive and accessible children's park that the Institution has just delivered to citizen service with a budget of "393,000 euros", this one in particular, charged to funds from the 'Municipal Cooperation Plan of the Cabildo of Lanzarote'.

Councilor Ángel Lago points out “that little by little we continue creating a network of new sports facilities and others completely renovated that promote the practice of sports, especially among the younger population. Of course, we have the great goal of opening the Playa Blanca Sports Hall and we are making the necessary requirements to the contractor to finish the exterior works because the interior is almost ready”.
