“The Haría Municipality Platform will continue with the Asphalt Plan", promoted in recent months while we have been governing", and we will extend it to the ten towns that make up Haría", informs this Monday the candidate for mayor for PMH, Evelia García.
In addition, she has also advanced that work will be done to "improve signage and sidewalks in all corners of the municipality."
In this sense, she recalled that this month "the resurfacing works of Calle San Juan and its surrounding roads" have begun, with some "very important actions to improve the connectivity of Haría."
However, she indicated that "the poor condition of the roads is one of the main concerns of our neighbors", and therefore, "if we govern next May 28, we commit to continue with the plan initiated to resurface and condition the roads of all the towns of Haría", they make clear.
"It is essential to carry out these actions to guarantee the safety of the people of Haría", added the candidate for mayor for the PMH.
On the other hand, García has advanced that her formation also proposes a "traffic light signaling plan in the School and the Mala Health Center", since "it is a very busy area for pedestrians and vehicles and it is necessary to regulate the passage to guarantee safety and avoid accidents in the area", she adds.
"Ending architectural barriers in all points of the municipality is another of our proposals, and for this, we will develop an action plan to improve and lower the sidewalks, which allows transit for people with reduced mobility, the elderly, and those who must circulate with shopping carts or baby seats", she indicated.
In this regard, she added that "the public spaces are the heritage of everyone, and therefore, they must be able to be used and enjoyed by all citizens in conditions of safety, comfort and facilitating autonomy."
"We want Haría to be a 100% accessible municipality"
"We want Haría to be a 100% accessible municipality, without barriers, a town in which people with disabilities or reduced mobility do not encounter obstacles in their day to day", she pointed out, remembering that "in the 21st century Haría cannot turn its back on this problem, nor fail to comply with universal accessibility standards."
"From next May 28, no work will be started that is not accessible, and we will not grant opening licenses if the regulations are not met", she concluded, also committing to "carry out all the necessary works so that public spaces and buildings are accessible to everyone."
