"The situation is chaotic for us, we don't know what is going to happen," said Eva Suárez this morning, a teacher designated as spokesperson for the affected teachers, on the Buenos Días de Radio Lanzarote program. On the Island there are about 37 Early Childhood Education teachers who obtained a place in the oppositions held in June, in which the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands, annulled the selective process due to "irregularities in the application of evaluation criteria." Those affected began on Monday, September 3, to work in the position obtained, but could be left without it once the course has started.
The teachers have asked the Administration for speed in solving this problem and request that the resolution be proposed by the Government. "We want to hear what the proposals are, it is not up to us to find the solutions," said the spokesperson. In the event that they have to repeat the oppositions, Suárez was quick to respond that they will appeal through administrative litigation. "We have passed an opposition, it is ridiculous to take the exam again because no one guarantees us a pass, we have already taken the exam and passed," Suárez emphasizes.
