The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, and the island councilor of Public Works, Alfredo Mendoza, accompanied by the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, visited the facilities of the new children's park of San Marcial del Rubicón, located in Playa Blanca.

Dolores Corujo and Mendoza learned firsthand about some facilities completed and presented by the Yaiza City Council last month, and which were financed with more than 90,000 euros through the Municipal Cooperation Plan of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

“We are glad that the Cooperation Plan is proving so positive for the different municipalities of the Island, giving them the capacity to create spaces like this park: modern, safe and that promote quality leisure among boys and girls of Lanzarote”, pointed out the island president.

For his part, the councilor wanted to highlight “the great result of the works", which leave in Yaiza "a novel children's park prepared with games and attractions, accessible, safe, with shaded areas, and inclusive, bio-healthy and adapted for boys and girls with functional diversity, all ready for the enjoyment of the little ones”.

The Cabildo of Lanzarote points out that this type of inclusive children's parks are based on "the integration of the usual games with accessible and adapted games for minors with diversity, so that they can also enjoy the park with the rest of the minors".

In recent years, not only have the town councils begun to install this type of attractions in public children's parks, but also schools and private establishments, such as campsites, hotels and large surfaces.
