The municipalist group has denounced the "danger" posed by the state of the sports courts in Costa Teguise, specifically the one located on Calle la Laguna, in the northern part of the town. This sports area "continues to present a very poor image, with the ground surface, sewage system, paint, and access door in disrepair, but the worst part is the fencing, part of which has come loose and fallen inside the court."

"We are talking about heavy, rusted metal structure that has come loose and part of it has fallen onto the court itself, invading the interior and putting children or any user of this sports area at risk," explains the PTG councilor, Jonás Álvarez.

The images show "the danger posed by this detachment, which has been there for several weeks, without any urgent action being taken." In the words of the municipal spokesperson for Primero Teguise, "that court cannot be open to the public in those conditions, because we are talking about the safety of the users."

From PTG, they demand that "urgent measures be taken, and if the safety and well-being of all people who use these sports facilities cannot be guaranteed, that they be sealed off and closed to the public until their total restoration."

Jonás Álvarez recalls that "the mayor and the sports councilor have been promising the remodeling of the Costa Teguise courts in dribs and drabs, without any joint action plan for all the sports areas urgently and without taking prior measures, and the deterioration of the infrastructures has been dragging on for some time without any action being taken.

"Costa Teguise, like the entire municipality, is suffering from neglect and abandonment by CC, PP, and the councilor who migrated from Vox," Álvarez states, but just as will happen with the municipal playgrounds, "the situation is bordering on unsustainable, because we are talking about the safety of residents and visitors in the face of situations like these." Therefore, "we demand that urgent and serious measures be taken in the face of these situations, while the governing group only offers late promises," concludes the spokesperson for the party.
