The municipalist party has announced that it will oppose the new fiscal ordinance **that regulates the collection fee for garbage and solid urban waste** in the Haría City Council, which will be submitted for initial approval in the extraordinary Plenary session this Monday. Compromiso understands that the garbage service "does not function correctly in the municipality and that its cost is out of the market due to poor management and administration by the government group of Alfredo Villalba."
"The service provided is far from ideal, and its cost is disproportionate due to the lack of order and seriousness in its management. We find it completely abusive that, on top of providing such a low-quality service, they now intend to continue attacking the pockets of the citizens of Haría," says its spokesperson Chaxiraxi Niz.
Compromiso por Haría denounces the increase in the fee, "especially in relation to the commercial and restaurant sector of the municipality and in residential homes," and points to Alfredo Villalba as the person responsible for this measure.
"A large restaurant will have to pay a fee of over a thousand euros (€1,046.46). Similarly, a similar bar will also see its fee increased, potentially reaching €784.84. The increase proposed by Alfredo Villalba is a direct attack on the municipality's business fabric," Niz states.
The Haria organization also points out that "the percentage of the increase is exponential for homes in the municipality, increasing the current rate by 90%, or even doubling it for non-profit associations."
"The cost of living is increasingly expensive, and Alfredo Villalba's government team insists on making things even more difficult for people. Increasing the garbage tax by 90% for all homes in the municipality is a robbery of the pockets of the inhabitants of Haría," says the spokesperson for Compromiso por Haría.
Compromiso por Haría to present allegations
Compromiso por Haría also announces that they will present allegations during the public exhibition period of the Ordinance, **with the aim of stopping an increase** that they consider "disproportionate and lacking rigor."
"We are going to oppose a rise that goes against the inhabitants of the municipality and its economic fabric. We will present allegations with the aim of making Alfredo Villalba see reason, and stopping a real absurdity," concludes Chaxiraxi Niz.
