Ciudadanos has announced that, following its line of work of "useful and responsible policies", it has proposed to the Teguise City Council that the municipal library enable a book delivery service in the different towns, in order to "promote reading habits and facilitate access to all residents".

In this regard, the coordinator of Cs in the municipality, Raquel Hernández, recalls that "during the months of confinement, home book loans were enabled", an initiative that the orange formation considers that "was very beneficial and, therefore, could continue to be carried out with some modification",

"The towns in the municipality do not have a library, so the idea that Ciudadanos proposes is that an email or telephone be made available to residents to reserve books, and, subsequently, each town is assigned a day for delivery, using the various socio-cultural centers as a reference point," Hernandez details.

In this way, the coordinator of Cs emphasizes "the opportunity is given to access this service to all those residents who cannot travel to the municipal library to pick up a book."

In this sense, she has indicated that "with the new subsidy for employment plans granted from the Cabildo, one or two people could be employed to carry out this task." "The municipal government must take into account the needs of the towns and their residents, and guarantee everyone's access to culture," she concludes.
