The spokesperson for Ciudadanos in the Yaiza City Council, Bruno Medina, has denounced the "poor condition" of the children's park in El Golfo and "the lack of sports facilities."
“The residents who live in this coastal area have been suffering for months from the deplorable situation of abandonment in which the children's play area is located," says the C's spokesperson, who warns of the "risk to which minors who use these facilities are exposed.” "Anyone can suffer an accident, mainly cuts, due to the state of the game elements,” he adds.
“This is the only children's park available to children, which is not only deteriorated but also completely dirty, full of rust and with a significant lack of maintenance,” criticizes the spokesperson. In this sense, Bruno Medina has stated that “it must be fixed as soon as possible and avoid having to regret any type of accident," and criticizes “the general abandonment to which the town of El Golfo is subjected by the Yaiza City Council.”
The councilor of the orange formation also refers to the fact that the town "lacks sports courts, so children play soccer in a private area next to the general road and near a ravine.” “There are funds in the public coffers to build and put into operation a sports facility in El Golfo,” Medina asserts, who considers that "the lack of planning and projects of the current government deprives this town of having minimal services for community coexistence and the leisure and enjoyment of all."
Therefore, and with the aim of "providing solutions to the real problems of the residents," Bruno Medina will demand in the next plenary session that improvement and maintenance actions be included in the network of children's parks in the municipality, while also demanding "the construction of a multifunctional sports court in said area."
