Ciudadanos (Cs) Lanzarote has demanded this Friday to the Arrecife City Council "a solution to the continuous illegal dumping of debris that accumulates on the roads from Argana to Zonzamas, a fact that poses a health problem and an attack on nature."
In this regard, the orange formation considers that "the municipal administration should remove the accumulated debris and be willing to recover the affected area, in addition to increasing efforts to control dumping and sanction those who dump debris in the area."
Ciudadanos also recalls that "there are clean points where to throw this type of waste, so that they are given an appropriate use with respect for the environment, even more so on an island classified as a Biosphere Reserve."
In this sense, he has made "an appeal to the different administrations to carry out civic awareness campaigns on the problem of illegal landfills"
