Coalición Canaria (CC) of San Bartolomé expresses its "gratitude" to the Minister of Health, the nationalist Esther Monzón, who this Tuesday announced the unblocking, after three years of waiting, of the construction project of the new health center of Playa Honda.
The secretary of the Local Committee of CC in San Bartolomé, Eduardo Díaz, stressed that “the Government presided over by Fernando Clavijo has achieved in just a few months what the previous one could not in three years”, and that “once the transfer of land is materialized, it will tender the execution of the project with a view to starting the work next year.”
This was announced by Esther Monzón during her appearance in the Health Commission of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, presided over by the also nationalist David Toledo, in which she pointed out that the Ministry "had not been able to advance in the execution of the project" due to “the many problems” that the land transfer file has had from the town hall, and that have been resolved “now yes”, just a few weeks ago.
In this sense, the municipal spokesperson for CC in the City Council of San Bartolomé, David Rocío, considered it regrettable that Esther Monzón "has had to rectify the PSOE parliamentarian, Marcos Hernández, for lying by stating in his speech that the project already had all the approvals when the mayor himself acknowledged in a meeting he recently held with the minister the problems that the Consistory had had to materialize the transfer of the land.”
The councilor pointed out in this regard that, "once the work is awarded, the regional government plans to reflect in next year's budgets an item for the execution of the new Playa Honda Health Center, budgeted at around 7 million euros, and which will be located on Fayna street, behind the Civic Center. With a total area of 1,917 square meters, the building will consist of a basement, first and second floors."
