Compromiso por Haría has denounced in a press release "the lack of respect for the institution" by the mayor of the northern municipality, Alfredo Villalba. The plenary session was scheduled for this Thursday at 8:30 a.m., "for this, the presence of the mayor is required, who does not appear." The opposition party has indicated that, after "a reasonable waiting time", it decided to abandon the plenary session and alleged "the lack of respect for the institution, the residents and the issues of interest to be discussed on the agenda."

"The lack of punctuality and respect for the plenary is repeated again," Compromiso por Haría has indicated. Thus, it has indicated that "the plenary sessions have a single call", and that this situation "already occurred in the past extraordinary and urgent plenary session, convened on October 31 at 08:15 hours", which was also delayed and "was held at 08:40 hours."

The ordinary plenary session convened for this past Thursday "has been held, without the presence of the councilors of Compromiso x Haría and without complying with the regulations contained in Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28, which approves the Regulation of Organization, Operation and Legal Regime of Local Entities."

Compromiso x Haría has considered that "the agreements reached in the held plenary session are null, so it will challenge said plenary session and request that it be repeated again." Likewise, they have requested that "the acts that affect the future of the residents represented before the plenary session of the City Council be taken with seriousness and respect", while asking the mayor to "deign to be present when required, understanding this as a few functions that are assumed to him."

To conclude, they have indicated that "the representatives of Compromiso x Haría have work obligations to fulfill, from which they are absent to respond with their functions as councilors, therefore we ask for respect and compliance in the time of celebration of the same."
