Compromise for Haría (CXH) urges the Cabildo of Lanzarote to intervene urgently, giving "maximum priority" to the project that contemplates the rehabilitation and improvement works of the LZ-10 Highway, in the section known as Valle del Malpaso.
"The road that has been temporarily closed due to landslides from slopes and falling stone walls, being evident that these incidents are becoming more and more frequent, making the wear and tear from use evident, and the passage of time entails an inevitable and necessary intervention," they say from the party.
CXH takes this initiative worried about "the course that this problem is taking, which compromises the viability of one of the only two access roads that the municipality of Haría has, and in view of the latest incidents caused by deficiencies that worsen, accelerating an imminent closure or restrictions to circulation, we understand that it entails taking responsibility and institutional initiative."
"We hope that the drafting of the project considers priority technical and mobility aspects such as increasing road safety, for which it will be essential to widen the road, improve visibility when passing through curves, incorporate new containment elements, marking, it is also important the environmental integration of the road, as well as expanding parking and new pedestrian accesses to the "Mirador de Haría" center, in addition to the conditioning of accesses to the neighboring farms, among other improvements," they declare.
Compromise for Haría also requests from the Cabildo of Lanzarote "responsibility in the investment for a project of maximum necessity for the interests of the municipality, while demanding that the future action not be a reflection of what already happened with the roads of Tabayesco in the last legislature or Los Hervideros that are not finished, or become the protagonist due to delays in execution," they conclude.
