The hall of the El Fondeadero civic center hosted on Tuesday, April 11 the presentation of the electoral list that "will accompany Amado Vizcaíno on his way to the Mayor's Office of Tías." An event that brought together numerous attendees, including the main public and organic positions of Coalición Canaria in Lanzarote.

Among them, Migdalia Machín and Oswaldo Betancort, in addition to the different municipal candidates and members of all the local committees, wanted to accompany an Amado Vizcaíno "visibly excited" who "conveyed his conviction that the moment Tías needed has finally arrived", according to the party.

"We must recover the space that the resident has lost in these four years"

As the nationalist candidate stated in his speech, "we must recover the space that the resident has lost in these four years," they recall. "A stage in which absolutely nothing has been done for those of us who live here."

Vizcaíno has spoken about the great shortcomings of a municipality in which, he says, "for many years all the interest has been placed in tourism, in tourist facilities and avenues, forgetting that what is truly important is each and every one of us, the residents, and our quality of life."

For this quality of life to improve, the CC candidate has stressed that "we must bet on something as basic as improving mobility by increasing frequencies and bus lines and improving road safety on the roads of the municipality," he adds. He has also spoken of "destroyed parks, young people without a future, abandoned towns and, one of the most pressing, the lack of housing." "The General Plan is vital and urgent for the development of the action units, prioritizing social protection housing and the construction of residential housing," he said.

For her part, Machín stressed that "Amado has presented a team prepared to face the challenge of being mayor of Tías, making it clear that although tourism is vital for the municipality, we must not forget issues as important as security, mobility and the concerns that citizens have on a daily basis," she emphasizes. Thus, she has described the project that CC has for the municipality as "ambitious and feasible", and that "also includes the application of youth and senior policies to know and respond to real needs", they acknowledge.

"These four years no progress has been noticed"

Oswaldo Betancort, has made it clear that what "happens in Tías is a true reflection of what is happening in Lanzarote." "It is a municipality that is governed by the same political color as the Cabildo, the Government of the Canary Islands and the Government of Madrid," he said, stressing that "that is why in these four years no progress has been noticed, the quality of life of the residents has not improved because the mayor has not bothered to manage the problems that affect the daily life of the citizens," he emphasizes.

Faced with this neglect, he stresses that "Amado presents a motivated, young team with a great desire to work." He assures that it is "a team that will have the collaboration of the Cabildo of Lanzarote", to "recover the essence of Tías with real investments that help improve the quality of life of the residents."
