Coalición Canaria (CC) Lanzarote y La Graciosa celebrated its traditional Christmas gathering last Sunday, attended by affiliates, supporters, party officials, and public representatives of the Canarian nationalist party. The first with the senator for the Autonomous Community, Pedro San Ginés, as insular Secretary General, a circumstance he highlighted as "especially emotional," in a speech in which he assured that his "feelings" at the helm of the party "could not be better."

During the event held in the municipality of Arrecife, which brought together some 300 people, San Ginés highlighted the "exemplary" renewal process that Coalición Canaria has carried out for its seven Local Committees, as well as that of the Young Nationalists. A process, "which has demonstrated our cohesion and internal strength," he stressed.

"We have a bright future ahead of us. We can once again be the leading political force in Lanzarote. We have enthusiasm, we have a team, and we have a real army of people concerned about what truly matters to the people," he added in this regard; at the same time, he highlighted "the excellent work we are doing at the helm of the Cabildo and wherever we govern: Arrecife, Teguise, and Tinajo."Precisely, the president of the Lanzarote Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, was one of the public representatives of the party present at the event, which also included the National Secretary of Coalición Canaria, David Toledo; the counselor of the Government of the Canary Islands, Migdalia Machín; as well as representatives from the seven local branches of Coalición Canaria Lanzarote and La Graciosa and from the Nationalist Youth.

Pedro San Ginés had words of gratitude and recognition for all of them, as well as for his colleagues in the leadership of the nationalist party - Olivia Duque, Samuel Martín, Abigail González, and Aroa Revelo -, highlighting the role they have played in the aforementioned process of organic renewal recently completed by the party.

“Open and diverse island”

He also had words of thanks for the large representation of the Acciones Unidas collective present at the event: "We are an open and diverse island. In Lanzarote, half of the residents were born elsewhere, but the important thing is that they feel this territory as their own. In Coalición Canaria, there is room for all of us who love this land. We are a party of welcome and integration, and the presence here of these colleagues, who have joined this Canary Islands nationalist project with complete naturalness, demonstrates this."

Before concluding, San Ginés insisted on his message of gratitude "to the militants and to the Lanzarote and Graciosa population who show us their affection every day and encourage us to continue strengthening our project. I am excited, and it is in our hands to continue building the Canary Coalition that our islands need. We are a structured party, of exclusive Canarian obedience -unlike others that depend on the dictates of Madrid- and we have the human capital and the strength to continue achieving many successes for our land," he added

“I wish you very happy Christmas celebrations, to you and all the people of Lanzarote and La Graciosa. May you have a very Merry Christmas and a new year full of health, work, and affection, which brings all possible good for Lanzarote and La Graciosa. From Coalición Canaria, we will put in all our effort,” he concluded.
