In these elections of 23J, Coalición Canaria Lanzarote consolidates itself as the third force in the Senate and maintains the percentage of votes obtained four years ago. "Obviously, what we would have liked to convey to the citizens tonight is that Lanzarote and La Graciosa finally had a nationalist senator. We knew it was difficult. These are very polarized elections between PP and PSOE, and what I can say is that I am proud and satisfied with the work we have done," said the island secretary of the party, Migdalia Machín.

Machín also emphasizes that "the votes obtained respond to the confidence that a part of the citizens of Lanzarote and La Graciosa has placed in the need for nationalist voices in Madrid, although we have to continue working to ensure that this message reaches the entire population."

On the other hand, the island secretary "applauds the increase in participation" highlighting that "people have taken to the streets to exercise their right to vote and that is very important", and urges the PSOE and its senator to work beyond the acronyms. "He has a second chance to look after the interests of our islands. I hope he knows how to take advantage of it."

Likewise, she emphasizes that, "although the results are not as desired, we can be necessary for the future government and if they want to count on us, they will have to give us guarantees for the Canary Islands. We already have a CC deputy, Cristina Valido, who is going to work hard to make that happen."
