Ciudadanos (Cs) has requested this Monday that “the Costa Teguise recycling center be opened once and for all”. In this regard, the municipal spokesperson for Cs in Teguise, Raquel Hernández, has urged the municipal government to “reach an agreement with the Cabildo of Lanzarote to adapt the road and be able to open this service, since it has not yet been launched because the roundabout next to the road that connects the town with Tahíche is not yet operational”.
Hernández recalls that “more than a year ago, the residents celebrated that the municipality would finally have a new recycling center”. However, she points out that “as of today, it is still not up and running, despite being a necessary service in Teguise" and regrets that "residents have to move to other recycling centers on the island”.
In this sense, the coordinator of Cs considers that “the fact that the recycling center remains closed is just another example of the improvisation of the government group”.
