The San Bartolomé City Council has completed the works of replacement of the flooring in the multi-purpose hall of the CEIP of Playa Honda, an action that allows transforming this space into a more versatile area, adapted to both educational and sports activities.
The intervention, carried out at the request of the center's management team, has consisted of the installation of a new pavement suitable for its use as a gymnasium, thus expanding the possibilities of this space for the students.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has highlighted that “with this action we respond to a demand from the educational center itself, improving its facilities and offering students a more modern, comfortable, and adapted space for their daily needs.”
Likewise, Pérez wanted to highlight the work carried out by the municipal staff: “This improvement has been possible thanks to the effort and involvement of the City Council's own staff, which demonstrates, once again, the capacity and commitment of our public services to the continuous improvement of municipal infrastructures.”
For his part, the Councilor for Public Works, Raúl de León, stressed that “the renovation of the pavement allows this space to be converted into an authentic school gymnasium, complying with the necessary specifications for its sports use and guaranteeing the safety of the students”. In addition, de León has remarked that the work has been carried out with municipal personnel “highlighting the effort of the public worker of the administration”.
For her part, the Councillor for Education, Estefanía Luzardo, has highlighted that “not only have we improved an existing facility, but we have optimized its functionality, creating a more versatile space that can be used in better conditions by the entire educational community”.
With this action, the San Bartolomé City Council reaffirms its commitment to the improvement of the municipality's educational centers, opting for more suitable, safe, and adapted spaces to the current needs of the students and teaching staff.
