Coalición Canaria will hold its VIII National Congress this weekend at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria under the slogan “United Canary Islands.” According to the Secretary of Organization, David Toledo, the choice of this slogan “responds to the need to have a united land around political formations that defend the interests of this land in Madrid and do not yield to the slogans of the state parties.”

The nationalists will claim in this congressional meeting the importance of having a voice and vote in the Congress of Deputies and the benefits of “expanding our nationalist base in Madrid in favor of the interests of the Canary Islands.” In this line, Toledo cited as an example the role that the deputy of Coalición Canaria in the Congress of Deputies, Cristina Valido, is playing to achieve the support of the Government of Spain “in crucial issues for this land such as the approval of the Canary Islands Agenda or free transport.”
