The Local Committee of the Canarian Coalition in Tinajo, as a reference of the nationalist organization on the island, expresses its "gratitude and recognition" to the career of Migdalia Machín, after her decision not to seek re-election as island secretary of the party in Lanzarote, a position she has held for the last nine years.
Likewise, with the endorsement of the prestige gained throughout its history, Tinajo calls on the rest of the committees to bet together on a new island leadership that works to create illusion. "We need a young, renewed team that is capable of creating illusion and that works with enthusiasm so that the party continues to grow."
The Committee especially values Migdalia Machín's ability to lead the island organization along a path of stability, internal cohesion and strengthening of the nationalist project, in a period not without challenges. "Migdalia has always known how to put the collective interest first and has been a key figure in achieving the consensus and internal peace that today characterize the Canarian Coalition in Lanzarote," they point out from the local leadership.
The Tinajo Committee, to which the still island secretary belongs and in which she has grown politically, proudly highlights the role that Machín has played in the island leadership, as well as her constant commitment to the principles of the party and to the well-being of the island.
Likewise, the work and involvement of Echedey Eugenio, Secretary of Organization and inseparable companion in this process, is recognized. "Both have formed a solid team, effective and loyal that has worked from responsibility, generosity and commitment to Lanzarote and the Canarian Coalition," the Committee points out.
From Tinajo, it is hoped that both will continue to be references within the organization and contribute their experience and vision wherever the party needs it.
This Local Committee also makes a call to the future leadership that emanates from the next VII Island Congress, which will be held on May 24 at the Civic Center of Costa Teguise, to maintain as a fundamental axis of its action the line of work based on dialogue, unity and consensus, as has happened in recent years under the leadership of Machín and Eugenio.
"The challenges facing Lanzarote require a cohesive, strong organization with a vision for the future. That is why we ask that the new team that emerges from the Congress continue to build from unity and understanding, as has been done so far, and, above all, that it knows how to excite those who are there and attract new people to the party," they insist.
