The Canarian Coalition in Lanzarote has positively assessed the Draft General Budget Law of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for 2026, approved by the Governing Council, "as it once again places Lanzarote with 147 million euros as the third island in investment volume, with a growth of 10% compared to the previous year."

The general secretary of Coalición Canaria in Lanzarote, Pedro San Ginés, has celebrated that "Lanzarote, together with La Graciosa, is breaking a historical record, being the third island in investments, as corresponds to it by population and contribution to the coffers of the Community", highlighting that "we continue to grow, even more than last year, around 10%, above the average of the Canary Islands budget, which stands at 9%".

The nationalist leader thus conveys his gratitude and congratulations to Migdalia Machín, the island's representative on the Governing Council that approved this draft budget, and to the Lanzarote representatives in the Parliament of the Canary Islands, David Toledo, Oswaldo Betancort, and Cristina Calero.

San Ginés warns, however, that "now they will have to fight or adjust in the amendment process so that the possibility of executing the items is more realistic," noting that "I don't know if we can grow more at this time, but we must try to ensure that the planned funds translate into effective investments for the people of Lanzarote and La Graciosa."Thus, Coalición Canaria Lanzarote, which highlights the items allocated to the construction of public housing, many of which are already underway, and a record investment in healthcare as well, announces that information will be expanded next week at the press conference offered by the secretary general himself, along with the Lanzarote representative on the Governing Council, the president of the Cabildo, and the rest of the island's parliamentarians.
