Azahara María Regadera has been elected new Secretary of Rights and Social Movements of Juventudes Socialistas de Canarias during the celebration of the XVI Congress of JSC, held this weekend.
The militant from Lanzarote and La Graciosa assumes this responsibility after a congress full of debate, enthusiasm, and camaraderie, as she has highlighted.
I assume a new stage with pride and responsibility. I will be in charge of the Secretariat of Rights and Social Movements of JS Canarias, Regadera points out.
The secretary will also continue to lead the Secretariat of LGTBIQ+ Policies in Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
“I will also continue here at home. Because the fight is waged from the street and from the islands,” she affirms.
For Azahara, the work in the coming months involves putting young Canary Islanders at the center. We are going to defend rights, be in the streets with social movements, and ensure that no one is left behind. Building a more just and egalitarian Canarias.
