The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, the mayoress of the Arrecife City Council, Ástrid Pérez, and the CEO of the Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism, Benjamín Perdomo, held this Thursday a meeting to analyze the current status of the Islote de Fermina project and articulate the action protocols in the near future.

The representatives of the three institutions wanted to share the work they are doing "to offer solutions to the obstacles that are presented on a daily basis, which are not few."

Similarly, they have studied different proposals to provide new content to a space that, “in any case, will be for public use and will be used for the enjoyment of citizens." "The Islote de la Fermina will have a leisure offer that will be structuring and integrating, and that will be designed by and for everyone, and not just for a few. We are working to make the Islote become the great opportunity for the future that the capital of the island deserves," Corujo pointed out.

The president of the first island institution is confident in "being able to resolve the most complex aspects of this file and very soon give good news to those who have been dreaming for more than four decades of enjoying that emblematic corner of the Arrecife marina."
