The Tías City Council informs of the complete closure, starting next Monday, January 12, of the section of the central avenue Alcalde Florencio Suárez that runs from the Los Luchadores roundabout towards the LZ-2 road (La Calera street) in the direction of Arrecife due to the execution of the road rehabilitation project.
The works will be carried out in both directions of traffic, so the closure will affect both the exit from Tías and the access to the town in the aforementioned section, for which alternative routes will have to be used. According to the awarded contract, the works will last for three months.
The pavement rehabilitation project on this stretch includes the installation of underground conduits and manholes that will allow for future renewal and improvement of services. One of the most important interventions will be the installation of an irrigation network and the placement of tree pits for planting trees.
The rehabilitation of the section will include the adaptation of sidewalks to comply with universal accessibility regulations. Existing unevenness and damage to the sidewalks will be corrected, ensuring they are suitable for people with reduced mobility and strollers.
