The president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez, received representatives of the audiovisual association 'La Plataforma de la Tele', with Luis Luque, president of the entity, and Santiago Gutiérrez, vice president, at the head, accompanied by its manager, Cuchi Jarque.
During their meeting, the heads of this association, which gives voice to more than a dozen Canarian companies dedicated to the production of television, film and advertising content in the islands, conveyed to the president of the Chamber their offer to collaborate in the development of the RTVC Law.
“The Canarian Parliament is the legislative body and we understand that this law must protect small and medium-sized Canarian producers, guaranteeing budgetary stability for this public service,” said Luis Luque. “Offering a plural service of value to the Canarian citizenry, made by Canarian talent, is our objective,” he added.
'La Plataforma de la Tele' brings together some of the audiovisual producers that supply entertainment and cultural content to the public entity of Canarian Radio and Television. Astrid Pérez, for her part, expressed her interest in promoting quality Canarian content with local producers, which “generates employability and diversifies the economy in the audiovisual sector in the islands.”
