The Arrecife City Council has put out to tender the complementary tow truck services for the removal and storage of vehicles. This tender aims to cover and expand the services already offered by the Local Police with a municipal tow truck service.
As stated in the report that the Arrecife City Council publishes this Wednesday in the tender announcement on the Public Sector Contracting Platform, "the services to be performed under the contract for complementary tow truck services for the removal and storage of vehicles must be carried out by a company specialized in said sector. And it is desired to reinforce the services as the entirety of the requirements that arise cannot be met simultaneously, even when demand coincides in time or exceeds the available operational capacity."
With this new tender, the municipal tow truck services are intended to be reinforced to provide coverage in the afternoon, night, early morning, weekends, and holidays. The price stipulated in the tender amounts to 63,106.80 euros annually, with this tender stipulating the possibility of a three-year extension, and assigning an estimated contract value of 252,427.20 euros.
"The service may only be requested by Authority agents and will not be provided directly at the request of a private individual. The removal of vehicles by the tow truck will require the presence of Local Police officers," as determined by the technical specifications. The service will be guaranteed and covered twenty-four hours a day, both on working days and holidays, being a permanent service, with the removal not being delayed for more than fifteen minutes, from when the contractor receives the order from the Local Police, even during night hours, and the service must be carried out under the due conditions of legality and quality, as reflected in this technical specifications.
The tow trucks that the contractor makes available for the provision of the service must be in perfect working and conservation condition, their condition will be new or with a maximum age of two years.
Specialized companies have until October 10 to submit their proposals for this official tender from the Arrecife City Council.
