The Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Works, is carrying out the resurfacing of the streets adjacent to the Adolfo Topham school in these last days of July and the first weeks of August. In previous weeks, the Department of Works has concluded the resurfacing of the streets next to the Nieves Toledo school.

Mayor Yonathan de León is directly supervising these works, which the City Council is intensifying in these weeks of July and August, coinciding with school holidays and the lower presence of vehicles circulating in these school environments.

Last year, the City Council also carried out the comprehensive resurfacing of the streets in the neighborhoods of Las Salinas, La Destila, and an area of the Titerroy neighborhood, on the streets collateral to the Antonio Zerolo and La Destila schools and the Las Salinas Institute, and also on the roads near the IES Blas Cabrera, and the Titerroy and Benito Méndez Tarajano schools, both in the Titerroy neighborhood.

During this month of July, the Department of Works of Arrecife, the contractor for these works, has focused, as the educational centers are closed for school holidays, on La Rosa, El Indio, Sotileza, Tarragona, Gerona, and Trinidad de León Perdomo streets, in the El Lomo neighborhood. And now, in these last days of July and the first weeks of August, it is carrying them out on Júpiter, Neptuno, and Vicente Vilas streets, in the vicinity of the Adolfo Topham school.

In addition, the Department of Works, under the direct management of the mayor, will continue during the month of August carrying out more resurfacing work on other streets in the city, as it is a month when the presence of circulating automobiles decreases.

From July 2023 until now, the Department of Works of the Arrecife City Council has carried out the resurfacing of almost three hundred and fifty streets in the neighborhoods of San Francisco Javier, Las Salinas, La Destilla, Argana Baja, La Vega, and large areas of Titerroy, AltaVista, Argana Alta, Maneje, Puerto de Naos, El Lomo, and Valterra.

Mayor Yonathan de León has confirmed that during the month of August, other streets in the neighborhoods of Valterra, Tahiche Chico, and El Lomo will continue to be repaved, to cover the renovation of the asphalt pavement in all their streets. In the Tinasoria neighborhood, with an investment close to three million euros, the mayor explains that its streets will be repaved this coming autumn after the urban transformation works on its streets are previously concluded, where the rainwater network, underground pipelines for public lighting and telecommunications, and the adaptation and improvement of sidewalks for accessibility are being installed.
