The Arrecife City Council continues to intensify cleaning on all the municipality's beaches. The Councilor for Beaches and the Environment, Davinia Déniz, requests the collaboration of citizens and users of Arrecife's beaches to avoid throwing away waste. In all the capital's coves, from the neighboring municipalities of San Bartolomé (Playa Honda) and Teguise (Las Caletas), the Arrecife City Council has installed different bins so that the waste carried by bathers can be deposited.
The Municipal Government of Arrecife, led by Mayor Yonathan de León, reinforces these cleanings on the coast "in a more singular way" after the times of southern storms or intense rains where the waters flow through the natural ravines that evacuate on the coast, such as the recent episodes of the floods of April 12.
Councilor Davinia Déniz has detailed that "different teams from the Social Employment agreements have been deployed to intensify cleaning on the beaches of Las Caletas (Arrecife municipality area, Playa de Punta de los Vientos (Disa and Los Mármoles), Playa de la Arena (near the Castle of San José), the intertidal zone of the Islote del Francés, the small sandy areas that surround the Castle of San Gabriel and Puente de las Bolas, the award-winning Playa de El Reducto with the blue flag, Playa de El Cable and the beach area of the La Concha Urbanization.
"The Arrecife City Council stands out for the good state of cleanliness on all the capital's beaches and the investments to improve accessibility and provide new public services," they conclude from the Consistory.
