The Arrecife City Council grants subsidies to the livestock sector of the municipality, "for the first time in its history", the City Council highlights.

This was announced by the Deputy Mayor and Head of Finance of the capital, Echedey Eugenio, and the Councilor of the Primary Sector Area, Jacobo Lemes, who stressed that "this initiative aims to strengthen and support professionals in the sector and provides resources to improve their working conditions and sustainability."

The beneficiaries of these grants are the members of the Maramajo Livestock Association, which will receive a grant of 40,000 euros to reduce the cost of livestock feed.

The Deputy Mayor and Councilor of Finance, Echedey Eugenio, stressed that "these subsidies are a reflection of our support for farmers, we are committed to promoting a sector that has been historically forgotten in the municipality."

For his part, the Councilor of the Primary Sector, Jacobo Lemes, stressed "the importance of the work being developed with farmers to be able to know their needs closely." "We have held meetings to listen to their demands and visited the facilities. The fact that for the first time they can count on these direct resources helps to promote the development of the sector and is an important relief for the costs involved in maintaining livestock."

Both councilors remark that, with the improvement of the conditions of the farmers, "it is also committed to the improvement of the local productive fabric and lays the foundations for the development and future actions to support the primary sector of the capital."
