The Department of Social Welfare of the Arrecife City Council, directed by Maite Corujo, announces the start of the workshop Early childhood and evolutionary development, one of the training proposals included in the municipal program Childhood and Family. The first of its sessions will be held this Wednesday, September 10 at the Arrecife Youth Center, from 09:00 to 11:30 hours, and will continue on September 17 and 24.
This workshop, which is free, is aimed at mothers, fathers, caregiver families and professionals linked to the children's field who wish to learn and put into practice tools to adequately accompany the first stages of the evolutionary development of boys and girls. During the three sessions, key aspects will be addressed to strengthen emotional bonds, promote respectful parenting and provide families with resources that favor coexistence in the home and child well-being.
The Councilor for Social Welfare, Maite Corujo, emphasizes that "from the Area we continue to bet on prevention and support for families, offering spaces where they can share experiences, resolve doubts and acquire guidelines that help guarantee a healthy and positive development in childhood." She also adds that "these workshops are an example of how, through training and mutual support, we can strengthen family skills and generate safer and more affective environments for our boys and girls."
The Childhood and Family program has been developing throughout the year different training actions in the field of positive parenting, conflict resolution, emotional management or support after separation processes, with a great participation of citizens. The workshop that starts this week joins this offer and prepares the way for new activities that will take place in the coming weeks.
Registration remains open and can be formalized through the Municipal Team Specialized in Attention to Children and Families, which coordinates and dynamizes these actions. The Department of Social Welfare encourages all interested families to participate in this space for learning and meeting.
