The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Area of Physical Activity and Sports, has opened the call for two new lines of competitive sports subsidies, the deadline for submitting applications for which will remain open from this Monday until October 24.
The first call for applications is aimed at Sports Schools of Interest for the islands of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, with a total budget of 434,000 euros. Its objective is to help cover the organizational and operational costs of the sports schools, thus promoting the training, participation, and development of young people in different disciplines.
The second line of subsidies, aimed at elite athletes, has a credit of 71,000 euros and seeks to recognize and support athletes residing in Lanzarote and La Graciosa for the results obtained in official competitions, both individually and in pairs, that meet the criteria established in groups A, B, C, and D defined in the regulations.
The Councillor for Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Monzón, highlighted that "these lines of support are essential to continue promoting sports practice at all stages, from grassroots to elite." "The Cabildo of Lanzarote continues to support a management model that promotes both formative and competitive sports, offering clubs and athletes the necessary tools to continue growing," he added.
The Island Sports Service encourages interested entities and athletes to submit their applications within the established deadline, through the Electronic Headquarters of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
