The Renovating Movement of Tinajo (MRT) celebrated this Thursday afternoon the official act of presentation of its candidacy for the upcoming elections on May 28, "with the illusion of renewing and turning the municipality around."
Just in the week that marks four years since the creation of the party, the launch of the candidates, managed to "more than fill the halls of the Sociocultural Center of Mancha Blanca, where the Canaristas were supported by affiliates and supporters, public officials, organic officials, other candidates and representatives of the rest of the local committees of NC and the general public," they report from the party.
At the event, the names of the candidates who are running with Morales on the electoral list were announced, such as the spokesperson Luis Campos. "He is a man with clear ideas, with great enthusiasm but with his feet on the ground, in whom we set our sights from the beginning for his charisma in this municipality and because he is, above all, hardworking and keeps his word," he stressed.
In addition, "the political and electoral agreement reached by the Canaristas and the MRT almost a year ago. "With the support we hope for and continue to ask for on May 28, we know that this time the MRT will grow, that it will be key and I am sure that Antonio Morales will achieve the Mayor's Office of Tinajo," he said.
Campos highlighted his "constancy" and "closeness" and valued "the illusion" that the Canaristas are putting into their work for the upcoming elections. He collects "the illusion
to raise this municipality, the hope of being able to improve the lives of its residents and the management and work capacity to solve problems such as those of water and the primary sector."
Morales presented "the balance on the management of these four years and his "purposeful" and "constructive" work carried out from the opposition."
"We have tried to extend a hand at all times to the municipal government group and the mayor, but unfortunately they have neither accepted it nor taken us into account for anything." As with the request that the City Council address the Water Consortium to demand that Canal Gestión Lanzarote make improvements in the lamentable supply service of running water and agricultural water," he acknowledges.
"We have tried to improve telecommunications and take an interest in the La Santa hostel"
In the balance of the current term, the leader of the MRT stressed that "we have asked more than 100 questions in the plenary sessions during this term and we have been interested in the ownership of the La Santa hostel," he admits. "We have also tried to improve telecommunications in the municipality, as it is unacceptable that at this point the internet still does not reach certain homes in Tinajo, that there are areas where you cannot listen to the radio or watch some television channels," he said.
Morales also stressed that "thanks to the insistence and pressure of the MRT, Tinajo was able to solve the problem that the City Council had two years ago with the company of the urban waste collection service" (RSU).
In addition, he lamented "the lack of aid to families, the lack of employment and training plans and the absence of tax breaks or subsidies for the implementation of renewable energies in the municipality", together with the "lack of planning" of the Municipal Government with projects such as the Resurfacing Plan, "which is not being applied except in some streets of the municipality, leaving streets halfway and without consulting or informing the residents."
