The crisis of the government pact of the Haría City Council has exploded this Tuesday.

The mayor, Alfredo Villalba, has dismissed the three councilors of Compromiso por Haría who remained in the government group, a decision he has made due to "loss of trust, which has negatively influenced the governability of the municipality."

As will be recalled, for several weeks the rumors of crisis in the tripartite were evident. Chaxiraxi Niz herself in statements to Radio Lanzarote pointed out that there were "breaches" in the pact by the PSOE and, at the same time, councilors of Compromiso held meetings with the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and councilors of the Government of the Canary Islands without inviting the mayor and his other government partner.

In addition, the situation of internal crisis within Compromiso por Haría led to the councilor Bruno Santana leaving his areas and the minutes of the City Council this Monday.

As things stand, PSOE and Nueva Canarias are left governing in minority and it remains to be seen whether they can reach agreements with the Platform for the Municipality and provide stability or whether the party led by Chaxiraxi manages to carry out a motion of censure together with the Platform.
