The Public Works Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote announced this Wednesday that the construction of the new access lane to the Titerroy neighborhood is already in its final stretch. In this way, they are already carrying out the last road closures to speed up work during nighttime hours.
The Vice President and Head of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, went to the construction site on Tuesday night to supervise the progress of the intervention. “We are very happy because the work is already in its final phase, with the paving work and the installation of the crash barriers and guardrails will soon be completed,” Medina explained.
It should be remembered that the Cabildo of Lanzarote began the plan to improve access to the General Hospital of Lanzarote last year, executing the acceleration lane that allows vehicles to join the main road when circulating on the adjacent road towards Argan Alta - roundabout of the barracks; and the new access lane to the Argana Alta neighborhood.
“We promised and we delivered, since when this access lane to Titerroy is finished, the queues that are generated on the Arrecife ring road will be further mitigated”, adds the vice president, who also emphasizes that the road in question will be closed to traffic between 10:00 p.m. this Wednesday and 6:00 a.m. on Thursday.
The Cabildo of Lanzarote is allocating a total amount of 603,312.8 euros of its own funds for this intervention, and the company Hormigones Insulares S.L. is in charge of carrying out the work.
