About thirty doctors go on strike to demand better working conditions in Lanzarote

The concentration has been carried out at a national level to protest against the Ministry of Health's proposal for the reform of the Framework Statute

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported that 17.48% of doctors in the Canary Health Service (SCS) have attended the strike this Friday called nationwide by this guild to protest against the Ministry of Health's proposal for the reform of the Basic Statute. This figure encompasses all areas of Primary Care and Hospital Care. 

Of the 7,137 staff called to strike, 4,433 were affected by this call, of whom 775 supported it. In Lanzarote, thirty of the 265 professionals affected by the strike have supported the stoppage.

From the monitoring by health areas in Gran Canaria, 389 of the 1,778 affected staff supported it, which represents 21.88%, while in Tenerife the monitoring was 371 out of 2,129, that is, 17.43%. For their part, in Fuerteventura, eleven of the 297 affected have supported it, that is 3.70%.

For its part, in La Palma the adherence was 6.52%, since nine of the 138 affected went on strike, while in El Hierro and La Gomera there was no personnel on strike.

The morning of this Friday, which has 1,230 staff on minimum services, has passed without notable incidents.
