The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow alert for coastal phenomena for this Thursday in Lanzarote. This alert will begin at 10:00 a.m. on that day and will end at 00:00 hours on Friday.
Combined sea from the northwest is expected with waves that can reach between 4 and 5 meters in height. According to Aemet, the waves in Lanzarote may occasionally exceed 5 meters on Thursday afternoon in the surroundings of the island.
In addition, the yellow alert will also affect the rest of the islands of the archipelago, with the exception of La Gomera.
Regarding the forecast for this Wednesday in Lanzarote, there will be a predominance of cloudy intervals, opening wide clearings during the afternoon. Some weak precipitation is not ruled out at the first and last hours of the day. Temperatures will barely change, with minimums of 15 and maximums of 23. The wind will blow from light to moderate from the west, intensifying to moderate and turning southwest after noon, with some strong intervals in inland areas.
