The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow alert for rain and storms in Lanzarote from 06:00 this Wednesday until 14:59 on the same day.
Aemet predicts that rainfall on the island could leave up to 15 liters per square meter in one hour on the island. In addition, this yellow alert will also affect the islands of Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria, while in Tenerife, La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro, the alert will be orange, with strong storms and rains that can reach 30 liters per square meter in one hour.
For Thursday, cloudy skies are also expected in Lanzarote and the rest of the eastern islands with probable showers that may be locally strong and continue to be accompanied by isolated storms.
