The Yaiza City Council has proceeded to the temporary closure of Playa Flamingo at noon this Wednesday, February 19, after detecting in an inspection and subsequent analysis of a water sample by Public Health bacteria indicative of contamination of the sea that advise against swimming temporarily.
The local Administration appreciates the collaboration of neighbors and visitors, begging respect for the signage that warns of the closure of the beach.
Municipal technicians are working on detecting the contaminating focus to act accordingly in coordination with Public Health, which will continue to carry out the relevant checks until laboratory tests determine that the water is suitable for bathing, and it will be when the City Council orders its opening.
