The third most common surname in the eastern province is Gonzalez. A total of 34,350 people have it as their first and another 30,000 as their second. There are 1,600 people in the province who have Gonzalez as both their first and second surnames.
Fourth place is for Hernandez, a surname that 31,000 people in the province of Las Palmas have in first place and another 27,000 in second place. There are 1,500 people in the province with the surname Hernandez Hernandez.
The fifth most typical surname in the eastern province is Garcia, 30,000 people have it as their first and another 26,000 as their second. There are 1,430 people who have it twice.
