The heatwave that Lanzarote and La Graciosa are experiencing these days and that has left temperatures of more than 38 degrees will continue to leave high values for several more days. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the yellow alert for this situation will extend until Tuesday at 7:59 p.m.
This Tuesday, clear skies are expected, with haze at altitude, which will subside at night. Temperatures will change little, exceeding 34 degrees in inland areas and on the eastern slope. For their part, the minimums will not drop below 23 or 24 degrees. The wind will blow moderately from the northeast with intervals of strong winds in the interior, where very strong gusts are not ruled out in the early and late hours.
On Wednesday, the yellow heat alert will no longer be in effect. However, intense heat will continue to make its presence felt with temperatures reaching 32 degrees. The skies will be clear and the wind will blow moderately from the northeast.
From Thursday onwards, temperatures will drop slightly to 30 degrees and Aemet predicts that they will stabilize and remain at these values for the rest of the week.
