The Rector of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Lluís Serra, accompanied by the Vice-Rector of Students, Alumni and Employability, David Sánchez and the Director of Access, Nicanor Guerra, received at the Institutional Headquarters the students who obtained the best grades in the general phase of the June EBAU exam. This year, the best grades have been obtained by 16 students: 13 women and 3 men. Of these, 10 have studied in public high schools and 6 in private schools.
The best grade this year, after achieving a 10 in the tests of the general phase of the EBAU, was obtained by the students Emma Guedes Abrante, from IES Carrizal (Ingenio), Irene Díaz-Perona Gea, from Colegio Brains Internacional, and Dafne Pérez Álvarez, from IES Politécnico de Las Palmas.
The other students with the best grades in this June exam have been:
- Natalia Rodríguez del Rosario, from Colegio Salesianos Sagrado Corazón, with a 9.91 on the test
- Carlos Cabrera González, from IES San Diego de Alcalá (Fuerteventura), with a 9.87 on the test
- Ariadna Sánchez Álvarez, from IES Vecindario, with a 9.83 on the test
- Nerea Ordoñez Linares, from IES Pérez Galdós, with a 9.81 on the test
- Mar Muñoz Henríquez, from Colegio Salesianos Sagrado Corazón, with a 9.76 on the test
- Raquel Medina Marrero, from IES Politécnico de Las Palmas, with a 9.75 on the test
- Alicia María Van Isschot Déniz, from Colegio Atlantic School Garoé, with a 9.75 on the test
- María Morales Mena, from IES Playa de Arinaga, with a 9.75 on the test
- Martina Lodos Falcón, from Colegio San Antonio María Claret, with a 9.75 on the test
- Nora Benito Ansola, from Colegio Brains Internacional, with a 9.75 on the test
- Pablo López González, from IES Politécnico de Las Palmas, with a 9.75 on the test
- Marina Armas Morales, from IES San Bartolomé (Lanzarote), with a 9.65 on the test
- Ricardo Curbelo Matos, from IES Las Maretas (Lanzarote), with a 9.65 on the test
The Rector and the Vice-Rector congratulated this Friday, June 14, at the Institutional Headquarters those students who obtained the best grades in the June exam and who reside in Gran Canaria and took the exam in some of the venues on this island. After a chat with all of them, where they were recognized for their effort and the support of their families, the Rector presented them with an institutional gift.
The university degrees chosen by most of these brilliant students will be those related to Translation and Interpretation (mainly the Double Degrees offered by the ULPGC), Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Law and Business Administration, and Physics.
A 94.31% of the students who took the June 2024 EBAU at the ULPGC have passed the Baccalaureate Evaluation test for Access to the University (in 2023 this figure was 92.70%). In total, 4,960 students took the ordinary exam, of which 4,678 passed the test.
