Two students from CIFP Zonzamas in Arrecife, Irene Rincón Sánchez and Sergio Jesús Perdomo Elvira, have been awarded in the Extraordinary Awards for Higher Grade Professional Training corresponding to the 2018/2019 academic year granted by the Government of the Canary Islands, which in this edition has recognized 19 students from 15 educational centers in the archipelago.
"I am very happy and it is a satisfaction for the work done", said Sergio Jesús Perdomo, who last year finished his studies in Energy and Water, for which he has been awarded. To be eligible for these awards, students must have obtained a score equal to or greater than 8.5 of the arithmetic average of all the modules or subjects taken and Sergio Jesús obtained a 9.20, thus managing to enroll also with Honors.
This student told La Voz that he learned of the award from his tutor. "In December they released the provisional list and since then every day I looked at the BOE to see if they published the final one but yesterday, when they published it, I had not just entered, and it was my tutor who warned me", explained Sergio Jesús, who continues to expand his studies. "This year I started the higher cycle of Electricity", he said.
As for the other awarded student from Lanzarote, Irene Rincón Sánchez, she has studied Commerce and Marketing at CIFP Zonzamas, according to the Government of the Canary Islands. However, although La Voz de Lanzarote has also tried to contact her, the attempts have been unsuccessful.
As for the rest of the winners, ten awards correspond to educational centers in Tenerife, six from Gran Canaria, and one to the Adult Education Center Radio Ecca, with different locations, whose training is taught remotely. The distinction will appear in the academic record of the students and in their personal academic certification. In addition, obtaining this award gives students the option of competing for the National Professional Training Award, after registration.
