Two more boats intercepted in waters near Lanzarote in the early morning

In total, 578 people have arrived in Lanzarote, including 43 women and 18 minors.

Maritime Rescue rescued two new boats in waters near Lanzarote early this Sunday morning. In total, eleven precarious boats have been intercepted in the last 24 hours.

According to the Emergency Consortium, one of them was carrying 46 people, including one woman, all of Maghreb origin. After being transferred to Puerto Naos, they were assisted by the Red Cross, who reported that all the migrants were in good health, so none were evacuated to the Molina Orosa Hospital.

The second boat was carrying 43 people, 2 of whom are women and 1 baby.

In total, 578 migrants have been assisted in Lanzarote, of which 43 are women and 18 are minors, all of Maghreb origin. Six people have had to be evacuated to the Molina Orosa hospital for different pathologies, including a woman who was pregnant and had contractions in the boat.
