Two boats with more than 80 people rescued near the coasts of Lanzarote at dawn

Two boats with more than 80 people in total were traveling between the two locations

Maritime Rescue has rescued two boats near the coast of Lanzarote at dawn, according to the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium. They would be two of the boats that were known to have left for the Canary Islands.

A total of 81 people were traveling in the two boats, including two women and four minors. They have been transferred to the Commercial dock where they have been assisted by the Red Cross.

One of the migrants has been transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital after presenting several injuries, the rest have been treated by the Red Cross and were in apparent good health according to the NGO.
