Twenty candidates aspire to the title of Miss Arrecife and Queen of the San Ginés 2011 Festivities

A total of 20 candidates will compete for the titles of Miss Arrecife and Queen of the San Ginés 2011 Festivities, in a gala that will be held next Saturday, August 13, starting at 9:30 p.m., in the tent of the Fairgrounds.

Accompanied by the director of the contest, Willie Díaz, 18 of the candidates have been presented this Friday morning, in an event that took place at the Arrecife Gran Hotel.

The candidates are: Laura Pérez, Almudena González, Laura de León, Jenifer Cabrera, María del Carmen Sánchez, Noemí Morales, Kaoru Guadalupe, Marta Tabares, Lucinda Fay Bunce, Virginia Morales, Attenery Rodríguez, Sheila Navarro, Naomi Brito, Zaida Martín, Anabel Calero, Sonia Viera, Lorena Ojeda and Melania Montelongo.

The other two aspirants will come from the Miss Yaiza election gala, which will be held in the southern municipality this Saturday.

The 20 candidates will go to the Arrecife City Council next Tuesday, August 9, where they will be received by the capital's mayor, Cándido Reguera. Likewise, on Wednesday morning they will walk along Calle Real and on Thursday they will do so along Calle José Antonio. On Friday, at 10:30 p.m., the pre-gala will be held on Calle José Antonio.
