Twelve deaths of Covid patients in three days in the Canary Islands

Since Tuesday, 1,881 positives have been detected in people over 60 years of age, and the incidence in that age group is already at 1,233 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 14 days.

Twelve patients with Covid have died in the Canary Islands in the last three days, as reported this Friday by the Ministry of Health. Nine of the deaths have been concentrated in Gran Canaria and the other three in Tenerife, and the deceased were between 68 and 95 years old.

In addition, since Tuesday, 1,881 new positives have been detected only in people over 60 years of age, which is the only age group that continues to be monitored.

The Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days is now at 1,233 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while at 7 days it has risen to 677.

Currently, in the Archipelago there are 372 people admitted with coronavirus, of which 17 are in the ICU and the rest, 355, in the ward.
