The episode of haze and heat of these last days in Lanzarote and La Graciosa that has left temperatures of up to thirty degrees will give way to a totally radical weather that will begin to be noticed from this Wednesday on both islands.

The State Meteorological Agency forecasts that the detachment of a trough that will be located to the east of the archipelago will notably destabilize the weather, causing a drop in temperatures, strong swell, rain and wind. In addition, it is not ruled out that the haze returns after a brief truce this Wednesday, but with cooler temperatures in line with the time of year.

For this reason, Aemet has activated the yellow warning for strong winds starting at 12:00 PM this Thursday due to gusts that can reach and/or exceed 70 kilometers per hour, especially in inland areas of the island. Likewise, the yellow warning for coastal phenomena has also been activated starting at 7:00 PM on the same day, with waves between four and five meters high.

In the rest of the islands, these yellow warnings have also been activated, although in the case of Gran Canaria and the western province they will come into force from this Wednesday.

The State Meteorological Agency forecasts for this Wednesday in Lanzarote and La Graciosa initially clear skies, but which will increase to cloudy intervals throughout the morning. At night weak rains are probable. Temperatures will drop and this decrease will be more pronounced in the case of maximums, which could be notable on the northwest slope, with values that will be between 14 and 21 degrees.

The wind will blow from the north component, which will intensify in the afternoon with strong intervals inland and without ruling out some occasionally very strong gust.

Already on Thursday, widespread light rains are expected in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, although it will be necessary to be attentive to the forecast to know how this trough will evolve in the coming days.
