During the act of recognition to Miguel Ángel Cabrera, which took place last Saturday the 21st at the Los Marinos de Valterra Socio-Cultural Center, a fragment of the play "Sobre el Cruz del Mar" was performed, which is being directed by Juan Brito in memory of the tragedy that occurred more than thirty years ago.
In addition, the survivor was presented with two works of art that commemorate the boarding. One of them, a sculpture of the replica of the Faro Marinero monument that Titeroygakat intends to place in the city of Arrecife, was designed by Juan Brito. And the other creator was Ángel Manuel Cabrera Olivero, a naval craftsman who gave Miguel Ángel an exact replica of the Cruz del Mar boat.
The activity was carried out in Valterra due to its popularity as a seafaring neighborhood and because the vast majority of the deceased fishermen and some of the survivors were born and lived there. In addition, it should be noted that a large audience attended the event and was moved when remembering the drama that Cabrera and his companions experienced aboard the "Cruz del Mar".
