Salvamento Marítimo has rescued this Tuesday afternoon, July 14, an irregular vessel in waters near Lanzarote, according to the Consortium of Emergencies.
On the inflatable boat travel 53 people, including four women and one minor, all of sub-Saharan origin. They are estimated to arrive around 9:00 PM at Puerto Naos where they will be assisted by the Red Cross.
This is the precarious vessel rescued in waters near Lanzarote. The Helimer helicopter and Salvamento Marítimo participated since early this Tuesday in a search operation for a dinghy with 36 people on board that had been adrift north of the island of Lanzarote. Among the occupants were five minors, four of them unaccompanied.
