Family, friends, and acquaintances of Nazaret Benasco Curbelo, the motorcyclist who died in a traffic accident this past Saturday in Haría, have bid farewell this Monday to the Lanzaroteño with a motorcycle gathering to say goodbye.
As will be recalled, the accident took place on the LZ-208 road connecting Haría with Arrieta, and despite the efforts of emergency services to try to revive him after suffering cardiac arrest, they could do nothing to save his life.
The gathering was announced and spread on social media. Specifically, motorcyclists have agreed to meet at the Repsol gas station in Argana Baja, from where they intend to leave for Mémora around 5:00 PM with the aim of accompanying family and friends in these difficult times and saying goodbye to Nazaret Benasco all together.
"Today the road is a little emptier and our hearts a little more broken. We have to say goodbye to a comrade, a road brother, a biker who left his mark on all those who were lucky enough to share kilometers with you," his friends shared.
"Nazaret, wherever you are, we want to imagine you riding on an infinite road, full of curves, under a beautiful sky and with the horizon awaiting you. No traffic lights, no goodbyes, and with the engine roaring as always. Down here we will continue to cover kilometers, and every time the wind hits our faces, when we see a beautiful sunset or take one of those curves we like so much, we will think of you," they continued.
